Welcome to Uganda Performing Rights Society
Uganda Performing Right Society is a society that was formed in 1985 by authors, mainly musicians, to advance the cause of copyright administration in Uganda. It is registered with the Registrar of Companies as a Company Limited by Guarantee having no share capital, which means that it belongs to all of its members. UPRS is recognised by Government as a Collecting Society and is a member of the Confederation of International Societies of Authors and Composers.

UPRS exists to support creators, rights holders, music users and the public through membership services, licensing guidance, royalties administration and formal institutional communication. The public website provides structured access to official notices, publications, updates and service pathways.
